Our program works hard to stay posted on the most up-to-date teaching methods. We are constantly changing our curriculum but maintain basic methods that we believe nurture children’s learning. Our methods are exemplified in the activities we do with the kids.
Our activities are in the fields of:
- Outdoor play
- Sensory related activities (smell, sight, feel)
We like kids to learn by doing things themselves and provide them with an endless amount of enthusiasm as well as tools to explore with. Our center is filled with toys, games, musical instruments, and books.
Each day, you will receive a daily report of your child so that you are kept updated on how and what they did that day, how much they ate, and what their mood was like. Also, often your child will be taking with them a “home version” of a story or song we talked about during the day, so that you can repeat it with them at home.

The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give the children a successful start in school. In order to meet our goals for each child, we provide an environment that allows children to make choices, be treated as individuals and learn at their own pace. Our classrooms are designed using the activity center method. We organize the activity centers so that the children can choose their activities, facilitate their own play, and then easily re-organize independently. This allows children to move freely from the various activity centers and, again, make choices.
Our teaching staff plans activities, both free-choice and teacher-directed, to enhance the activity centers as well as the children’s interests.
